QA Tech Lead

We are looking for a QA Technical Lead, who knows manual and automation, can build teams and improve and set up processes.

Projects description:

Our client is an owner of an online furniture store operating throughout all states in the US and selling a wide variety of products. He has multiple systems supporting the website and the sales process, as well as a few systems that are being developed or planned for development. The E-Commerce system has been developed for the past 6 years and is a pioneer in drop shipment of Furniture. The software built is a collection of e-Commerce sub-systems responsible for e-Commerce, Logistics, Customer Service. This is a product company that is very much interested in delivery of the greatest Customer Experience.


  • establish and evolve formal QA processes, using industry-accepted best practices;
  • oversee all aspects of quality assurance and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met;
  • manage execution of assigned QA activities, including software engineering quality assurance and testing;
  • act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources; lead, coordinate, coach and mentor QA team members (6 Manual QA and 2 Automation QA);
  • develop and execute test cases, scripts, test plans and procedures (manual and automated);
  • maintain documentation related to QA processes, work-flows etc;
  • doing planning and estimation, regular and demo reports.


  • minimum 5 years of QA experience in the IT industry (web applications);
  • 2+ year as QA Lead, managing teams of 2+ QA Engineers;
  • strong knowledge of test case management and corresponding tools (such as TestRail, qTest, etc.);
  • in-depth understanding of SDLC, STLC and modern methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban);
  • excellent test-design skills (Boundary value analysis, Equivalent Class Partitioning, Exploratory testing);
  • experience in automation testing.

Would be a plus:

  • strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • strong project and time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
